Rewind: Scott-Evans Annual Christmas Party 2009

Every year, the Scott's throw a Christmas P-A-R-T-Y. It's quite a tradition! This year, it was at the Crabtree Inn complete with skits, songs and Santa! We had a great time catching up with family we don't see very often. After the party, we went over to Oliver Twist with some cousins for a bit and enjoyed some snacks and taking in the scenes of watching people dance.

What I like best about it all is that everything they do always reflects back to our Lord Jesus. Some of the family participated in a skit about "Getting on the Train". Each member played a different type of character, from someone who was sassy and full of herself, engulfed only in her outward appearance to someone who thought she was so spiritual, of course she would be on the train until the end. But that's not exactly how it worked out for all but one member on the train. One by one, those who had issues like pride were kicked off the train, taken away by the "devil" (and his helpers). Only one remained til the end, to receive the ultimate prize. This person represented someone who was humble, someone who loved Jesus, someone who was genuine and a servant. Not merely a good person, a pretty person, or one who might call themself "spiritual". They did a great job and it was a strong reminder that there is only one way to living for Eternity and that way is Jesus. Your looks won't get you there. Your money won't. No amount of good works will either. Only by Jesus and through Jesus can you enter the Kingdom of Heaven. Ask Him to be your Savior today.
